Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter Amaarae (Ama Serwah Genfi) takes her boldest era yet to London’s iconic Roundhouse on the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2026 — headlining a UK-exclusive immersive show called The Black Star Experience.
The Show
Staged as part of the Three Sixty Festival, The Black Star Experience is a full-scale celebration of Amaarae’s third studio album, Black Star, released in August 2025. The live show blends Afrobeats, techno, R&B and alt-pop, with strict all-black attire requested of every attendee. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.; tickets have been priced from £39.54 across Ticketmaster UK, DICE, Live Nation and the Roundhouse site.
Who Amaarae Is
Born in the Bronx and raised between Atlanta, New Jersey and Accra, Amaarae has become one of the most innovative voices in African-diaspora pop. Her 2020 debut The Angel You Don’t Know and 2023 sophomore album Fountain Baby drew critical acclaim for their fluid blending of alté, R&B and global club sounds — a formula that Black Star pushes further into electronic and club-adjacent territory.
Why This Matters
Amaarae’s London date continues a run of sold-out European shows and marks the second time she has headlined the Roundhouse, one of the UK’s most prestigious live-music venues. The all-black dress code and the Black Star branding — a clear nod to Ghana’s national identity — reinforce the diaspora-pride theme that runs through the album’s visuals and staging.
