At the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations at Black Star Square in Accra, President John Mahama announced that the government has so far recruited 6,000 Arabic teachers through the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to support Islamic education. He also unveiled plans to construct new community day STEM secondary schools in densely populated urban areas, including Zongo communities.
